GE Media was founded by Greg Everett in 1995 to purchase a television station in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Since 1999, GE Media has been buying and selling generic domain names.
Greg is Vice President and Co-Founder of GOCOM Media of Illinois, LLC, which owns and operates 2 FOX affiliates and a CW affiliate in central Illinois.
From 2003 to 2009, Greg owned and published the Myrtle Beach Herald.
For 5+ years, Greg hosted a weekday morning TV show, Carolina People, on WFXB FOX 43. During much of 2011, he hosted All-American People.
Since 1997, Greg has served on the Executive Board of the Center on Law, Ethics and National Security at Duke University School of Law. Since 2009, he has served as one of three Trustees of the Kathrine R. Everett Charitable Trust, to benefit the Duke University and UNC-Chapel Hill Schools of Law.
For his community service, Greg was honored by the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce as its 2007 Citizen of the Year and by Leadership Grand Strand with its 2009 Ann DeBock Leadership Award.
Greg was born and raised in Durham, NC and received a B.A. in Politics in 1993 from Wake Forest University. Greg is married to Lissa and has a daughter and a son.
